Pastor Gary met Pastor Josh Hyde, senior Pastor of The Bridge Church (TBC), in 2013. Pastor Gary saw his heart for college ministry and  the need for a strong Christian church in what he called "A spiritual wasteland".  The Bridge was originally planted by CBC to serve the college of Western Carolina University. SinceTBC became  independent, CBC functions in a mentorship and giving capacity and was heavily involved in constructing their first church build. The Bridge Church's mission is to Reach, Equip, and Deploy the Now and Next Generations to Expand God's Kingdom. The intend to see 20 churches planted on or near college campuses by their 20th anniversary.
